🎮 While I Wasn’t Looking

Guide your friends through tricky puzzles, where changes come in a flash.

You and your quirky pals must navigate mysterious spaces, solving challenges to reunite at the goal. As with friendship, sometimes it feels like chasing flickering lights… never quite captured all at once.

I’m pretty new to game dev, and at times I almost gave up. I decided to try building something custom, and after working nonstop... finding bugs (so many bugs), hitting dead ends, I thought it was going nowhere. But somehow I found the courage to submit anyway.

This was all built in my own handmade engine (if you can call it that). I spent countless hours wrestling with collision physics, optimization, and edge cases. The one thing I'm proud of is making it work well on phones and keeping it super performant on the web, which many engines don’t manage out of the box.

This is a custom build, so SHOULD work right out of the box on MOST mobile devices too. I tried.

Controls

  • WASD – Move

  • Blink – Detected via your webcam
    (Your camera helps bring this game to life (≧◡≦))

Hint: If you don’t have a webcam or don’t want to blink often, press Space when you feel stuck!

 (Note: This game uses webcam locally for blink detection)
